Reader Revenue
North Star Foundation DACH
This North Star Foundation programme empowers German, Austrian and Swiss
publishers to identify and realise a key reader revenue or engagement
ambition, guided by the FT’s North Star methodology.
Who is the Programme for?
This is a practical three-day programme with an optional fourth day for 1:1 consulting held in Vienna, Austria, commencing on Monday, 19 June that enables a cohort of up to 12 publishers to focus on a key strategic ambition for their digital news business. The programme is designed for publishers with an existing base of digital readers, typically >100,000 monthly unique viewers. Alternatively, if you already generate >10% of your revenue from digital readers, this programme is also likely to be suitable for you and help you to realise your D2C ambitions.
Each day will require 7 hours of dedicated time. You should assign 2-5 individuals to the team, with a mix from editorial and advertising / commercial departments. We will be hosting a graduation dinner at the close of the programme with all participating publishers.
Applications are open now until Friday, 2 June.
Publishers will:
- Identify the key underlying causes behind their unique challenge
- Develop an actionable project plan aimed at tackling the challenge around reader engagement or reader revenue
- Conduct in-depth impact / risk / effort assessment for their North Star objective, using the FT’s proprietary NS tool
- Leave with a network of peers and experts for support beyond the programme
